Since 1961, community members have counted on Highline College to meet their educational needs close to home. As our area has changed over the years, so have our classes and programs. Today you will find comprehensive community college programs as well as applied bachelor’s degrees. Come to Highline to discover why we are still our community’s college after more than 55 years.

Highline College Accreditation

Highline College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities, an institutional accrediting body recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation and the secretary of the United States Department of Education.

Strategic Plan and Core Themes

Highline’s strategic plan is organized around its core themes:

  • Core Theme 1: Reduce barriers and close equity gaps to access for all community members
  • Core theme 2:  Increase educational success and close equity gaps; collaborate to improve
  • Core theme 3: Create a more inclusive working and learning environment and a more valued, visible relationship with communities we serve
  • Core Theme 4: Promote a campus culture which fosters equity and inclusivity supporting employee growth and development, and institutional capacity for transformation.

Highline College Athletics: Home of the Thunderbirds!

The Highline College Athletics Department is a member of the Northwest Athletics Conference and consists of nine sports: Men’s and Women’s Basketball; Men’s and Women’s Soccer; Men’s Wrestling; Women’s Volleyball; Women’s Tennis; Women’s Fastpitch; and Women’s Golf.
